Tilikum Crossing

There's a new bridge in town! Tilikum Crossing opened last month as Portland's newest bridge. It's a pedestrian, bike and public transportation bridge only. No cars are allowed.
So naturally I had to make a new postcard of it!
Before the bridge had a name, Tri-Met asked the people of Portland for suggestions. There were quite a few but one of my favorites was Lisa Simpson. The list of suggestions went to a vote for the people of Portland, and Lisa Simpson was one of the top 5! Sadly, didn't choose that one... They went with Tilikum instead which means people or tribe in the Chinook language. I'm okay with that, but it would have also been really fun to have a bridge named after Lisa Simpson.
